Severe Weather Opening Warming Shelters, Centers Til Next Tuesday
Winter's wrath has prompted Santa Clara County's Office of Supportive Housing to open up more doors and beds for those on the street.

CAMPBELL, CA -- The Santa Clara County Office of Supportive Housing is extending the expanded shelter services and warming centers through next Tuesday due to the National Weather Service forecast of continuing rain and colder temperatures into next week.
The city of San Jose will continue to provide Overnight Warming Locations for the same time period.
The rain, along with cold temperatures, puts many people, especially older adults, at risk for hypothermia, which is caused by dangerously low body temperature. All residents are encouraged to use available shelters and warming centers, as well as take appropriate actions to ensure their safety and well-being during these rainy, cold days and nights.
