Shots Fired At San Jose School: Gunman Arrested, Police Say

BREAKING: A 21-year-old suspected of shooting his gun at Booksin Elementary School was arrested Tuesday night.

SANTA CLARA VALLEY, CA — A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm at Booksin Elementary School in San Jose early Tuesday morning, according to police. Officers arrested San Jose resident Nicholas O'Connor at his home Tuesday on suspicion of possessing a firearm in a school zone, discharging a firearm in a school zone, discharging a firearm at an uninhabited building and vandalism, police said.

Police said O'Connor allegedly fired shots at the school located at 1590 Dry Creek Road at 3:49 a.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived at the school, set up a perimeter and searched the area but didn't find a shooter.

O'Connor was booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
