Small Fire On SB I-280 Near SR-17 Extinguished
A small fire off the I-280 at the intersection with SR-17 was put out but not before blocking southbound lanes, thus causing delays.
SAN JOSE, CA -- Crews responded to a small brush fire on the southbound side of Interstate 280 where it meets State Route 17 -- a busy confluence for morning commuters.
The obstacle and distraction blocked lanes and created a bit of a traffic headache.
The California Highway Patrol received a report at 8:28 a.m. of a smoky fire with small flames in the bushes on the side of the highway.
