Small Structure Fire Across From Station Knocked Down In Minutes
San Jose Fire station 17 crews crossed the street to extinguish a small structure fire in a strip mall with 3 commercial occupants.

SAN JOSE, CA -- If only blazes were always this close. San Jose firefighters put out a "tiny" structure fire in a commercial complex across the street from Station 17 at the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Coniston Way on Tuesday morning, Capt. Mitch Matlow confirmed.
No one was hurt in the blaze that started behind the facade near an electrical conduit.
The strip mall has three business occupants, which includes a dentist's office, a Subway sandwich shop and a taqueria. They will be closed Tuesday while an electrician determines which wires are affected.
