South Bay Bomb Threat Determined To Be Unfounded: Police

The threat triggered an evacuation of Unitek College in San José, police said.

SAN JOSE, CA — A bomb threat triggered the evacuation of a South Bay college Thursday afternoon was determined to be unfounded, the San José Police Department said.

The evacuation of Unitek College in San José was lifted after responding officers completed a sweep of the campus in the 6800 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard, police said.

"We will be conducting a follow-up investigation to identify the source of the false report," police said in a 5:12 p.m. tweet.
