South Bay Home Damaged By Early Morning Fire

BREAKING: The residential fire started the morning of Jan. 24 in Lexington Hills, south of Los Gatos and near the Lexington Reservoir.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A crew of 30 Santa Clara County firefighters put out a residential fire the morning of Jan. 24 in Lexington Hills, south of Los Gatos near the Lexington Reservoir, fire officials said.

At 12:54 a.m., firefighters received a report of smoke coming from the roof of a home in the 17000 block of Comanche Trail in Lexington Hills.

Arriving firefighters found that two residents had evacuated, and crews then contained the blaze to the living room and had it under control by 1:36 a.m., fire officials said.

No injuries were reported, and the residents were able to stay in the home despite moderate damage to the living room.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
