Teen Arrested, Accused Of Murder In San Jose

The 17-year-old was taken into custody on allegations of shooting and killing a female victim on Clyda Drive a few weeks ago.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A 17-year-old was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of murder following an investigation of an incident a few weeks ago involving a female victim shot and killed on Clyda Drive in San Jose.

The victim identified as Lili Santiago Hernandez, 58, of San Jose, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The call came in at 5:34 p.m. on Jan. 19, sending San Jose police officers to the 2400 block of Clyda Drive in San Jose.

Homicide detectives identified the 17 year-old suspect as the person responsible for the murder. Because of the teenager's age, the identity is undisclosed. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for murder.
