Truck Overturned On Northbound Winchester Per Campbell Police

Campbell police responded to the rollover in which the driver hit the guide wire from the pole. All lanes are open.

CAMPBELL, CA -- Look here, and it will be obvious why one of the busiest intersections in this Santa Clara County town was closed off for about an hour on Friday evening.

A truck driven by a man with a medical condition lost control and completely rolled over on its back on the northbound side of Winchester at Hamilton Avenue, according to Campbell police. The truck hit the guide wire attached to the pole, which to Sgt. Lee Heitzman may have been "a good thing" opposed to the alternative. He might have been hurt worse than a little neck pain if he had hit the pole head on.

The man went to the hospital for a checkup in the single-vehicle crash.
