Two-Alarm Fire Tears Through San Jose House
A large fire prompted a two-alarm emergency response Tuesday in downtown San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA — A house fire in downtown San Jose drew a large emergency response Tuesday as crews worked to knock down the flames. Fire officials said the first reports came in shortly before 11:45 a.m. of a fire on the 100 block of North 4th Street.
Within a few minutes, the response was upgraded to a second alarm, drawing additional units from around the city. The San Jose Fire Department shared a video of crews attacking heavy flames on the front of the structure.
