What Goes Into a (Population) Sign
A commenter asked about these Campbell: Population X signs around town and here are some facts.

After posting our story on released by the California Department of Finance this afternoon, a Campbell Patch reader posted this as a response:
"They've had that number on the sign since before hubby & I moved here in 2009. With this new population data finally published I think it's time for an update. :) "
So we sent an email to the city of Campbell's go-to guy, about the signage and within a few hours, he responded with these intereseting tidbits.

Patch: How often do they get updated?
Bito: Since 2002, we have updated the signs twice. This year would be the third time in 10 years.
Patch: How much does it cost to update them?
Bito: It costs an estimated $1,800, plus materials and labor to update them.
