All Carlsbad USD Students Will Eat Breakfast, Lunch For Free

Parents do not need to submit an application or pay a fee for their child to receive free meals. Students will still need to pay for snacks.

CARLSBAD, CA — All students enrolled in the Carlsbad Unified School District can eat breakfast and lunch for free for the entire 2021-22 school year.

Full healthy meals will be available to all students, with no action required of parents – students can participate in the program without caretakers submitting an application or paying a fee, the district said in a letter.

However, students will still need to purchase snacks, and parents can add money to their child's account for them to do so.
