CARLSBAD, CA — The city of Carlsbad is seeking applicants for an open seat on the Planning Commission.
The commission, which consists of seven members, holds public hearings to consider land use matters, such as the general plan, local coastal program, growth management program, specific plans, master plans, amendments to the zoning ordinance, zone changes, special studies, and discretionary development permits for public and private projects.
The mayor and each council member nominates an individual to serve on the commission for a term coinciding with the term of the council member making the appointment.
