Carlsbad Resident Reappointed To Disciplinary Review Committee
Mary Beth Garber has served on the Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee of Southern California since 2018.
CARLSBAD, CA — Gov. Gavin Newsom has reappointed Carlsbad resident Mary Beth Garber to the Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee of Southern California.
Garber, a Republican, has served on the committee since 2018, according to the governor's office. The committee considers appeals from applicants and licensees of the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services' denials, suspensions, and revocations as well as the assessment of administrative fines.
Garber has been an audiobook narrator since 2018, the governor's office said. She served as executive vice president of marketing strategy at Katz Media Group from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that position, she was president of the Southern California Broadcasters Association from 1998 to 2011. She earned a bachelor's degree in English and French from Pitzer College.
