Condo Fire Forces Evacuation Of Carlsbad Residential Complex

CARLSBAD, CA — A mid-afternoon condominium fire forced the evacuation of a Carlsbad residential complex Monday, authorities reported.

The blaze at the Windsong Cove complex in the 800 block of Kalpati Circle erupted for unknown reasons shortly after 2:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Carlsbad Fire Department.

Within 90 minutes, firefighters were making good progress toward extinguishing the flames, CFD spokesperson Holly Angeles Gonzales said.

There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire was under investigation, Angeles Gonzales said.
