Man Fatally Stabbed In North County
Deputies detained the suspect at the crime scene, sheriff's officials said.

SAN MARCOS, CA β A man was stabbed to death in northern San Diego County, authorities said Tuesday.
The stabbing was reported at about 4:55 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Richmar Avenue in San Marcos, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Arriving deputies found the man, who was in his 20s, with traumatic injuries and provided medical aid, Sgt. Juan Marquez said. Paramedics took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 7 p.m.

His identity was withheld pending family notification.

"At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation," Marquez said. "Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident. There are no outstanding suspects and no apparent danger to the community."
