New Happy Hour Politics Club Launched in Carlsbad

On January 16th, “Happy Hour Politics” was successfully launched with a cocktail party at The Crossings in Carlsbad. The club for women and men to come together to educate, socialize, and politically connect about relevant issues.  About 40 men and women attended the kick-off event.

Melanie Burkholder, one of the principal organizers, introduced the keynote speaker Jason Roe who regaled the group with interesting anecdotes about campaign strategies and also gave his assessment of current politics.  Melanie reports: “Happy Hour Politics had an extremely successful launch.  Everyone who attended was totally engaged with meeting new people and hearing the insights of Jason Roe’s 20 years of experience on campaigns and public policy at the federal, state and local levels”. 

Ms. Burkholder went on to say, “We look forward to many more interesting speakers and attendees at future monthly events.  I am pleased to announce that the highly acclaimed state assemblyman Rocky Chavez is our guest speaker at the next Happy Hour Politics cocktail get together on Wednesday, February 20th (5:30pm to 7:30pm, at The Crossings, 5800 The Crossings Dr, Carlsbad).”
