Poll: Was NFL Proper in Its Punishment of New Orleans Saints for Bounties?

Former Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman says he suffered a knee injury because of a bounty placed on him during a 2007 game against the Tennessee Titans, reported The New York Times. But when the NFL investigation of the New Orleans Saints was revealed,  “Lights Out” Merriman tweeted: “Why is this a big deal now? Bounties been going on forever.”  So what do you think of Wednesday’s penalties against Saints coaches who weren’t saints? Were penalties long overdue or over-the-top?
