25-Year Friendship Ends In Murder: Police
The victim was shot and killed Sunday in his Hayward home.
HAYWARD, CA — A 43-year-old Hayward man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a man earlier this month, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Larry Jose Lopez has been charged in the death of Rolando Jose Silva, 68, who was shot and killed Sunday in his Hayward home.
Prosecutors allege that Lopez and Silva had known each other for about 25 years.

In addition to the murder charge, prosecutors have added on an enhancement for allegedly using a firearm to cause great bodily injury and death.
Lopez was arraigned Wednesday and if convicted, he is facing 50 years to life in prison, the District Attorney's Office said.
