Who Wants A Paella Pan After Seeing This Glorious Dish?
At least one Castro Valley backyard kitchen includes a dedicated propane paella stove.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Rick Kelly of Castro Valley has gone all-in on paella.
He received a dedicated propane paella stove for Christmas, along with an 18" enameled paella pan. As you can see from his photo, the specialized gear plus Rick's cooking skills combine to create a succulent dish.
Rick shared his enthusiasm with Patch, "Paella is a much beloved saffron infused bomba rice dish often served on weekends and holidays in Spain. This version comes fully loaded with seafood, while alternatives use chicken, sausage and even rabbit."

While the dish caters to all tastes, it's also practical, according to Rick, "All of the ingredients for the seafood version, including the unusual ones, can be purchased in Castro Valley stores!"
While Rick used a dedicated paella pan and outdoor propane paella stove, he encourages others to try their hand at cooking the dish, even without the specialized tools. Just grab a large pan that you already have and cook indoors on your stove top, or on your existing outdoor grill.
