Architect's Rendering of New Market Coming To Lake Chabot Road

Keep your eye on the tired, graffiti-ridden vacancy where Lake Chabot Road intersects Quail Avenue.

Something like the architect's rendering above should take shape there soon.

As Patch has reported, Hans and Herbert Cho are getting the permits to create a multi-purpose food bazaar at what used to be a Raley's store.

The Chos, who grew up in Castro Valley, are second-generation meat sellers. They plan to sublease parts of the roughly 10,000 square foot building to other food sellers, such as produce, grocery or prepared foods vendors. 

They will model their business on the San Pedro Square Marketplace in San Jose.
