Art Contest For 3rd, 4th Grade Students Launched

Students can win prizes for their Clean Water Program Posters, while teachers can win $100 Amazon gift cards.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Calling all artists, in 3rd or 4th grade, living in the unincorporated area of Alameda County.

The 2025 Alameda County Unincorporated Area Clean Water Program Poster Contest is now accepting submissions.

"We aim to spread the message to the community to Keep Good Bugs in the Garden to reduce pesticide use and help keep waterways clean," the contest website says. "When people use pesticides in the garden, those chemicals can wash into storm drains with water from garden

Clean Water Program activity guides will be sent to all classes that participate. Winners will be announced in April 2025 with winning posters displayed online and at the Castro Valley Library.
