Big-Rig Fire On San Mateo Bridge Prompted Sig-Alert: CHP

All lanes in both directions were blocked for about two hours.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — All lanes are now open on the San Mateo Bridge following a big-rig fire this morning, according to California Highway Patrol officials. The fire was first reported at 3:25 a.m. just west of the high rise.

A Sig-alert was issued at 3:34 a.m. because all lanes in both directions were blocked. At 5:05 a.m., CHP officials said all lanes were reopened.
