Dist. 45 Big League All Stars Headed to World Series

The  — made up of the top 16- to 18-year-old players from teams in San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Hayward and Union City — are headed to the Big League Baseball World Series.

The series is being held in Easley, S.C., July 27 through Aug. 3.

The team won the Western Regional Title and will now play: District 5 (Ruston, La.) on Wednesday, 4 p.m. EST; District 3 (Cumberland, N.J.) on July 28, 7:30 p.m. EST; and District 9 (Michigan) on July 29, 4 p.m. EST.

Besides regional champs from around the U.S., the series includes the top team from each of the following areas: Mexico, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, the Europe, Middle East, Africa region (EMEA) and Canada. 

The final game on Aug. 3 will air on ESPN. Send good vibes to our local boys!
