Fatal Shooting Under Investigation In Hayward
It's the city's 14th homicide of the year.
HAYWARD, CA — Hayward police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred shortly before midnight Saturday in the city's fourteenth homicide of the year.
Officers received reports of a shooting in the rear of an industrial complex near the 25000 block of Industrial Boulevard around 11:45 p.m., police said.
The officers who responded found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police. Officers and medical personnel provided medical treatment to the man and he was taken to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The man's name will be released after his family has been notified and formal protocols have been followed through the coroner's office, police said.
There is no one in custody at this time. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Navas at (510) 293-7176.
