Free Dump Day Is Coming Up In Hayward

Advanced registration is required as space is limited.

HAYWARD, CA — The City of Hayward's Maintenance Services Department will hold its next Disposal Days event on Feb. 8, city officials announced.

The event will offer residents a free and legal way to dispose of household debris.

According to a press release issued Saturday, participants can bring up to five cubic yards of household items to the City transfer station. This is equivalent to a full pickup truck bed.

The event will continue, rain or shine, officials said.

Disposal Days are open to Hayward residents only. Preregistration with proof of residency is required.

Items like hazardous materials, medical waste, construction debris, and heavy objects over 75 pounds excluding furniture and appliances are not accepted, according to city officials.

Registration is now open, but space is limited. Anyone who wants to learn more or register can visit the City of Hayward website or contact Maintenance Services at (510) 881-7745 or disposal@hayward-ca.gov.
