Gym Donates More Than 250 Jackets And Blankets to Local Charities

CASTRO VALLEY, CA —More than 200 Blankets and 50 jackets were collected by Xclusive Speed Sports Performance Training during it's Sunday, Oct. 9 Blanket and Jacket drive.

"I am grateful for the countless parents, athletes, and community activists that donated over 200 jackets and over 50 blankets to bless community members in need this winter," Xclusive Speed Founder and CEO Giles Chapman said.

The gym, which trains youth, college, professional athletes, and celebrities from across the country, hosted its inaugural coat and blanket drive from noon to 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Christian Church, in Castro Valley and community members came out in large numbers to donate, Xclusive Speed Sports announced Monday, Oct. 17.

Jackets and blankets were donated to Oakland Elizabeth House.

"As a Bay Area native, coat and blanket drives is key to uplifting community members in need," Chapman said. "I enjoyed donating countless blankets and coats to Oakland Elizabeth House and look forward to blessing women, children, and teens at other charities throughout the Bay Area."
