Poll: What Do You Think of Goodwill Considering a New Castro Valley Location?

Goodwill Industries recently announced that it is no longer considering opening a store at the former Blockbuster site at a strip mall off Castro Valley Boulevard and San Miguel Avenue, as reported by the Castro Valley Forum last week.
Instead, Goodwill Industries is looking at the former Wells Fargo bank building across the shopping area's parking lot.
Kimberly Scrafano, Vice President of Development and Community Affairs at Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay told the Forum the company had "listened to the community and realize that [the former Blockbuster site is] an important flagship gateway location to Castro Valley."

Many residents expressed concern over having the nonprofit organization opening a store at the corner site. Among the 131 people who voted in , 59 percent voted against it, 35 percent voted in support of it and 5 percent seemed neutral.
