Vehicle Crashes into Commercial Building in Cherryland
A vehicle drove into a building at 20942 Mission Blvd. in Cherryland just before 3 pm on Monday, April 15, according to Alameda County Fire.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA -- A vehicle ran into a commercial building at 20942 Mission Boulevard in the Cherryland area just before 3 pm Monday, April 15, according to the Alameda County Fire Dept.
"Due to the vehicle damaging a major structural member, firefighters performed a shoring operation," in which the structure is made safe by shifting part of the structure's weight is transferred from one point to another, the department said in a statement on social media.
The occupant of the vehicle, whose identity was not released, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined additional medical evaluation, according to the ACFD.
