Fire Scorches Holmby Hills Home

A large home in Holmby Hills caught fire Sunday. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

HOLMBY HILLS, CA — A fire burned in a bathroom and a bedroom of a large, two-story home in Holmby Hills Monday evening, but no injuries were reported.

The blaze at 10842 Portofino Place was reported at 6:52 p.m., Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The flames burned the home's bathroom and one bedroom, Bastman said.

The department dispatched 63 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 21 minutes, Bastman said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, Bastman said.
