Cerritos Library Receives Book Donation from Philippine Consul General on Behalf of Pres. Ramos
The library has received a donation of 24 books on or by former President Fidel V. Ramos, the 12th president of the Republic of the Philippines.

On Dec. 15, 2011, Philippine Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo-Aragon presented the with a donation of 24 books by former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos.
“The City of Cerritos greatly appreciates the generous donation of books by President Ramos that was made by the Philippine Consul General," said Cerritos Mayor Carol K. Chen in a statement. "Our community values the Cerritos Library as an educational resource and the books are an outstanding addition to the library’s collection.”

President Ramos visited the city's library on Oct. 10 as part of 17-day nationwide tour promoting the launching of the book "Trustee of the Nation" -- a biography on the former president written by W. Scott Thompson, Ph. D.
The historic event was co-hosted by Consul General Bernardo-Aragon and Cerritos councilman Mark Pulido and his wife Gloria.
