Cerritos Resident Discovers Home Ransacked on Droxford St.

Deputies are currently searching for the suspected burglar in the area.

Cerritos deputies are searching for a suspected burglar near Carmenita Boulevard and South Street after a resident discovered his home was ransacked.

The resident made the discovery at his home in the 13000 block of Droxford Street about 12:25 p.m. Thursday, according to Lt. Jeff Deedrick of the Cerritos Sheriff's Station.

Deputies were immediately sent to the area to search for the suspect. It was unclear what was stolen during the break-in.

"At this time we do not have a suspect description as there were no immediate witnesses to this burglary," Deedrick said, adding that deputies are patrolling the area to ascertain whether any additional evidence can be located.
