Pedestrian Killed On 5 Freeway In Santa Fe Springs
A witness told the CHP a vehicle ran over a male pedestrian who was down in lanes and did not stop.

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA — A pedestrian was killed Sunday on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Santa Fe Springs.
The crash occurred at 7:12 p.m. Sunday on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway just south of Valley View Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP a vehicle ran over a male pedestrian who was down in lanes and did not stop.

The CHP stopped traffic at Carmenita Road and requested that Caltrans shut down the HOV lane and lanes 1 and 2 for the investigation.
There was no word on why the person was originally down in lanes nor whether he was an adult or juvenile.
