$4.9 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Chico

The winner is unknown until he or she claims the prize and is verified, officials said.

CHICO, CA -- A single Powerball lottery ticket sold in Chico matched five of the six numbers, making the ticket worth $4.9, California Lottery officials announced Friday. The ticket was sold at Duke’s Cork N Bottle Shop at 2360 Esplanade in Chico.

The ticket matched the numbers: 5-38-22-58-32, missing only the red Powerball number 26.

Officials said the owners of Duke’s Cork N Bottle Shop will receive a retailer bonus from the Lottery of $24,639 just for selling the winning ticket. (The retailer bonus is not subtracted from the winner’s prize.)

California’s latest Powerball winner should visit any of our nine Lottery District Offices during normal business hours. Also, very important: Powerball winners must produce original winning tickets when they claim their prizes, officials said.
