Chico Man Drove Car Into Officers: Police

Chico police said Brian Silva tried to run over officers after he was approached about following a victim.

CHICO, CA -- A man was arrested in Chico last week after he allegedly followed a victim in his car then drove into responding officers. The incident happened about 9 p.m. on Nov. 22 when police said Brian Silva, 35, drove his Subaru next to a victim at a stoplight.

Silva allegedly began to yell at the victim before following the victim, who drove to the Chico police station. When approached by the victim, Silva allegedly armed himself with brass knuckles and tried to start a fight, police said.

Silva then drove his car toward officers after being approached. He was later arrested on Walnut Street near Dayton Road, police said.

Silva was booked at Butte County Jail.
