Drunk California Horse Rider Trampled Boy: Cops
In California, the same laws apply when riding horses as driving cars.

COLUSA, CA -- A Northern California man was arrested recently for allegedly riding a horse while intoxicated before trampling an 8-year-old boy. Colusa Police said the incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. June 8 in the area of 10 and Parkhill streets during the county parade.
Arriving officers found the horse that threw its rider and determined the rider, Armando Martinez Ruiz, was intoxicated during the incident.
Ruiz was arrested and booked into jail for felony DUI, police said.

The boy is recovering with injuries to his legs, police said.
