Northern California: Streams Global Convention

For July and August, Mark Johnson from Redding has enjoyed the annual convention from Jehovah’s Witnesses titled, “Powerful by Faith!”. Mark said, “I really enjoyed the Bible drama “Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith Part I. It helped me to appreciate that if we stay close to God he can bless us even in the worst of circumstances.” Mark feels this convention has helped him be a better Bible student. He continued to say, “It motivates me to follow the example of Daniel.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses have made their “Powerful by Faith!” convention available globally online to millions. With the pandemic still threatening the public’s health, the religious organization made their 2021 convention available for streaming in over 500 languages, uniting some 15-20 million people in 240 countries.

The program is designed to encourage strong faith based on facts and evidence. The two-part film “Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith” relates the story of how the prophet Daniel’s faith helps him survive trials. The series of talks titled “Imitate Women of Strong Faith!” features past and present examples of faithful women worthy of imitation by all.

“Faith has helped our global brotherhood to continue to thrive even during a pandemic,” said Robert Hendriks, U.S. spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “Our faith will continue to unite us in worship — even virtually — as millions gather in private homes around the world to enjoy a powerful and inspiring spiritual program.”

The event can be watched or downloaded by going to jw.org or JW Broadcasting on the free JW Library App or on streaming platforms. Released sessions and future sessions are free and accessible to all.
