• Enloe Health, Chico PD release statement on viral TikTok video inside Chico Target (krcrtv.com) — A confrontation over a Charlie Kirk T-shirt at the Chico Target has gone viral, prompting statements from both Enloe Health and Chico Police. Enloe’s CEO condemned the behavior seen in the video and said complaint calls have jammed phone lines, while Chico PD said the woman’s actions did not meet the threshold for criminal charges.
   

• Sierra Nevada Conservancy approves nearly $4.6 million in wildfire resilience grants (calaverasenterprise.com) — Nearly $4.6 million in new wildfire resilience grants includes $1.298 million for fuel breaks in Big Chico Creek Canyon, aimed at helping protect Cohasset, Forest Ranch and Chico. The Chico State Enterprises project will build 6.5 miles of fuel breaks within the Park Fire footprint as part of a broader Butte County effort to reduce wildfire risk.
