CUSD Sued By Man Abused By Former Teacher's Aide: Report

The Claremont Unified School District is being sued for negligence and sexual battery, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

CLAREMONT, CA — A 23-year-old man is Claremont Unified School District, claiming it was negligent in its handling of a former teacher's aide who sexually abused him when he was a student at Claremont High School, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

The suit claims the district failed to investigate previous sexual misconduct involving Brandy Leah Wilborn. She worked as an instructional aide at Claremont High School, the Daily Bulletin reported.

Wilborn was 39 when she entered into an inappropriate sexual relationship with the man when he was 16. The man claims he suffers from depression, anxiety and trust issues that all stem from the abuse by Wilborn, according to the paper.
