We’ve all seen – and maybe envied – stories about people whose yard sale or swap meet find turns out to be a valuable piece of jewelry, furniture or art.  On Saturday, April 23, you can search for your treasure (or sell your odds and ends!) among dozens of families’ and organizations’ booths at the La Verne Community Yard Sale, 8 a.m. to noon, in the Bonita High School parking lot, 3102 D St., La Verne.

This event is free to shoppers and helps the city of La Verne meet AB 929 waste-diversion goals by helping people repurpose items that might otherwise have been discarded. The extra cash and extra garage space for sellers comes in handy, too! Single spaces (one parking stall) are $30, and doubles are $40.

Concurrent with the Community Yard Sale, we will hold our second annual Community Health and Fitness Expo. If you are a traditional physical or mental health practitioner, offer alternative medicine (such as massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, etc.), or are a fitness trainer/gym, we have an opportunity for you to reach the La Verne community.
