Public’s Help Sought In Locating Missing La Verne Teenagers

Carmen Vasquez and Austin Milligan disappeared on the same day under similar circumstances, but the two cases are unrelated, police said.

LA VERNE, CA — The La Verne Police Department is asking the public’s help in finding a teenage girl who went missing Friday went.

Carmen Vasquez was last seen walking away from her home in the 2900 block of Arrow Highway around 5:50 p.m. after getting into an argument with her parents, police said.

Vasquez is 5 feet 3 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light gray blouse, jeans, a belt and black Converse shoes. She is known to frequent the Pomona area, according to La Verne police.

The circumstances surrounding Vasquez’s disappearance are similar to that of another La Verne teenager, Austin Milligan, who went missing on the same day. The two disappearances are unrelated, police said.

Milligan, 13, was last seen going to bed at his home in the 1400 block of Via Corona around 8:30 p.m., police said. He also argued with his parents before he went missing.

Milligan is 5 feet 8 inches tall and last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweater. He also had a backpack with him, police said.
