Local events to watch out for in Claremont-La Verne this week.
1. Monday Night Concerts continue Monday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont. Tonight’s performances are The Fab 8 (Beatles hits).
2. Shakespeare Readers of Pomona Valley will read A Midsummer Night’s Dream 6 to 9 p.m. at Casa de Salsa, 415 W. Foothill Blvd, Claremont.
3. Kidspace Children’s Museum visits Mrs. Nelson’s Toy & Book Shop,1030 Bonita Ave., La Verne, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20.

4. Friday Nights Live continues with live music 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Claremont. This week’s performers are Remember Then (oldies rock) at the Public Plaza, Amanda Castro Band (vintage jazz) at the Claremont Chamber and Working Poets Band (rock/blues) at city hall.
