1 Arrested In Stabbing At Concord BART Station
The victim was found lying on the ground in the bus zone in front of the station.

CONCORD, CA — An arrest was made in connection with a stabbing Monday night at the Concord BART station.
BART crisis intervention specialists encountered the victim — an adult male — lying in the bus zone in front of the station at about 7:25 p.m. Monday, a BART spokesperson said.
Police officers were on the scene soon afterward and took Michael Reese, 70, of Castro Valley, into custody without incident, the spokesperson told Patch.

An alert was sent via social media stating trains were not stopping at the station because of the police activity. Service resumed shortly thereafter.
The victim was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment of stab wounds that were not life-threatening.

On Tuesday, BART police were continuing to investigate what led to the stabbing.
Police Activity At Walnut Creek, North Concord/Martinez BART Stations
In a separate incident Monday at the Walnut Creek BART station, BART police responded around 3 p.m. to a report of domestic violence and made an arrest, a spokesperson told Patch. The police activity briefly paused train service.
Trains were also briefly stopped around 7 p.m. Saturday at the North Concord/Martinez station when BART police assisted Pittsburg police who were looking for a suspect at that station, the spokesperson said.
