2-Alarm Fire Consumes Concord Home
One firefighter suffered a minor injury in the blaze that produced a large column of black smoke, according to Con Fire.

CONCORD, CAβ Firefighters battling a two-alarm blaze at a Concord home Friday morning managed to get out safely before floors collapsed inside the burning two-story structure, fire officials said.
The two-alarm fire in the 4000 block of Rhoda Way, reported just after 6 a.m., displaced an unknown number of residents, said Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Prevention Capt. Joe Ottolini.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury but wasn't hospitalized. No other injuries were reported.

The blaze was in the area of Cowell Road and Treat Boulevard, and produced a large column of black smoke.
Crews initially tried to knock down the fire inside the home, but went into defensive mode and moved outside just before floors collapsed and the home's walls leaned in, fire officials said.

Firefighters determined the home was not occupied at the time of fire, Ottolini said.
The blaze was knocked down shortly after 7 a.m.
