5 Concord Startups Among Fastest-Growing In America: New Ranking

CONCORD, CA — Multiple startups with roots in Concord are ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in America in the 2024 Inc. 5000 list released Tuesday.

The companies on the list have experienced rapid revenue growth in recent years while navigating inflationary pressures, rising interest costs and hiring challenges from 2020 through 2023. The top 500 companies on the list had an average median three-year revenue growth rate of 1,637 percent. Together, the 5,000 companies on the list have added 874,458 jobs over the past three years.

To qualify for the ranking, companies must be U.S.-based and must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2020. Although some of the startups may have gone public or been acquired since the review period ended, the list represents companies that were private, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2023, Inc. said.

The companies must also have had minimum revenues of $100,000 for 2020 and $2 Million for 2023. See the full methodology.

Here are the five Concord companies in the 5,000 ranked by Inc:

retailcloud

Concord-based software company retailcloud grew by 496 percent during the three years and was ranked 1,025th nationally for 2024. The omnichannel commerce platform provides retailers the ability to manage orders, inventory and customers with analytics to improve operational efficiencies. It was founded in 2010 and was ranked 1,848th nationally in 2023.

vChief

This Concord business products and services company grew by 387 percent and was ranked 1,335th nationally for 2024. vChiefis a fractional human resources firm specializing in providing organizations with senior leadership, such as executive director, COO and chief of staff. vChief was founded in 2016 and was ranked 747th in the nation in 2023. For the second consecutive year, it was recognized as an Inc. Best Workplace.

Since its founding, vChief has operated as a remote company with a four-day workweek, unlimited PTO and sabbaticals. The company hosts retreats to spend in-person time with one another and cover costs for other in-person conferences and events to build community and culture.

TheraEx Rehab Services

TheraEx Rehab Services, a Concord-based health services company, grew by 204 percent and was ranked 2,524th. The healthcare staffing agency connects healthcare staff to hospitals and healthcare organizations. It was founded in 2009 and was ranked 1,178th nationally in 2020.

Innersense Organic Beauty

Consumer products company Innersense Organic Beauty of Concord grew by 147 percent and was ranked 3,308th for 2024. The company was founded in 2003 and uses organic chemistry to produce clean formulas that offer professional performance. It made it into Inc. 5,000 at the rank of 1,518th in 2022 and the rank of 2,427th in 2023.

Entisys 360

Concord-based IT services company Entisys 360 grew by 82 percent and was ranked 4,756th this year. Founded in 1988, it specializes in virtualization services such as on-demand user access, increased IT security, and compliance practices. The company offers comprehensive professional support and complementary management, consulting, and engineering services to mid-tier and enterprise organizations, as well as government agencies.
