The City of Concord has a new all-purpose phone number for residents to use in requesting information. Residents can now dial (925) 671-CITY (2489) for assistance during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
“We want the City to be as customer-friendly as possible,” said Mayor Ron Leone in introducing the new number at the Sept. 11 City Council meeting. “For the convenience of the community, we wanted to have a number that is easy for people to remember. If you are out somewhere and don’t remember which number to call, dial 671-CITY and you will be directed to the right place.”
The new number doesn’t replace any of the City’s established phone numbers, so if residents have City numbers programmed into their cell phones, the numbers will still work. In an emergency, residents should continue to call 911.
