Car Flips, Hits Light Pole On Highway 680 Concord Onramp
CHP officers found a vehicle that had spun off the highway and was on its roof on the Willow Pass Rd onramp. One person has major injuries.

CONCORD - One person suffered major injuries after a car overturned and struck a light pole on an onramp to Interstate Highway 680 in Concord Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded shortly before 5 p.m. to a report of a vehicle that had spun off the highway and was on its roof on the Willow Pass Road onramp to Highway 680, CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said.
The car, a Nissan Altima, also hit a light pole, Cistaro said.

One occupant of the car was transported to John Muir Medical Center with major injuries, Cistaro said.
At 5:45 p.m., Cistaro said one lane was closed to allow a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the road, but the road was otherwise clear.

Additional information about the cause of the crash or how many occupants were inside the vehicle was not immediately available.
