Concord Car Crash Leads To Shots Fired
After a collision, a man assaults the woman he crashes with, then shoots at her. Police believe the two drivers know each other.

CONCORD - A man assaulted and shot a woman he recognized Thursday evening in Concord after the pair crashed their vehicles in traffic.
Concord Police officers responded at 5:43 p.m. to reports of shots being fired from a vehicle near William Way and Meadow Lane.
A preliminary investigation revealed that after two vehicles collided, each motorist exited their own car.

A male suspect allegedly assaulted a woman from the other car, shooting in her direction. Police say the bullets missed, and the woman was unharmed.
The man fled in a Ford pickup truck, which Pleasant Hill Police found abandoned about an hour later on Buskirk Avenue.

The vehicle had been reported on Tuesday in Pleasant Hill as stolen.
Police said the suspect remains at large.
