Concord Couple Charged With Nine Area Robberies
Concord residents Dominic and Tanya Pettifer were arrested on suspicion of robbery, attempted robbery and criminal threats.

CONCORD - Police officials Tuesday identified a husband-and-wife duo who were arrested in connection with robberies at nine businesses in Concord and Walnut Creek within the past month.
Concord residents Dominic and Tanya Pettifer were arrested on Feb. 5, Concord police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said, bringing an end to their alleged robbery spree. They were arrested on suspicion of nine counts of robbery, attempted robbery and criminal threats, Blakely said.
Pettifer, 29, allegedly kicked off the robbery spree Jan. 15 in Walnut Creek with an afternoon robbery, which police said was a typical time for his robberies, along with early evening hours.

The suspect targeted Leslie’s Pool Supplies at 2971 Ygnacio Valley Road, an area he returned to on Feb. 1 when he robbed Premium Cleaners at 1865 Ygnacio Valley Road.
He was allegedly involved in other robberies at Walnut Creek businesses in the same period, including at NorCal Swim Shop and a Casper’s Hot Dogs, police said.

Police said his 30-year-old wife took the lead on a robbery at a Subway location in Concord, one of three times the pair hit a Concord Subway. Two days before they were arrested, the suspects were tied to a Baskin-Robbins robbery where a man wielded a knife.
They were booked into Martinez Detention Facility.
The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office could not immediately confirm the charges filed against them.
