Concord Hosting Emergency Preparedness Fair

The fair is being held in conjunction with Concord's Music and Market concert series at Todos Santos Plaza.

CONCORD, CA — Are you prepared for an earthquake or other natural disaster? The City of Concord is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Fair from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Todos Santos Plaza. Community members are invited to stop by to pick up useful information and free giveaways from local emergency service organizations.

The fair is in conjunction with Concord's Music and Market concert series. The farmers' market begins at 4 p.m., and Pop Rocks, the Bay Area’s ultimate dance party band, plays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The fair will feature emergency vehicles from the Contra Costa Fire Protection District (ConFire), Contra Costa Health’s HAZMAT team, the Concord Police Department, and the American Red Cross, as well as representatives from the Concord Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services “Listos California” program, the Concord Auxiliary Emergency Radio Services (CARES), PG&E, various county support organizations, and several emergency supplies vendors such as Home Depot, QuakeKare, Vortex, and California Sunlight.
