Concord Man Arrested for DUI After Crashing Car Into House's Fence

No injuries reported in Sunday night incident on Concord's Pepper Avenue.

A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening on suspicion ofΒ drunken driving after crashing his car into a Concord home's fence, a policeΒ corporal said.

Police got a call of the crash at a house near the intersection ofΒ Pepper Avenue and Garden Drive at 6:31 p.m. Sunday, Concord police Cpl. JimΒ Nielsen said.

Officers arrived on the scene and arrested the driver, ConcordΒ resident Onesifero Covarrubias, for allegedly driving his 2006 Honda AccordΒ while under the influence.

No injuries were reported in the crash, although the home's fenceΒ and the suspect's car sustained significant damage.

The incident remains under investigation.
